The letters "CE" are displayed on many products that are traded on the enlarged internal market in the EEA (EEA). They mark that products sold in the EEA are rated to hold high safety, as well as to meet health and environmental protection requirements. When you buy a new phone, teddy bear, or TV in the EEA, you can find the CE mark. The CE marking also supports fair competition by keeping all companies responsible for the same rules. By affixing a CE marking to a product, the manufacturer declares that the product meets all the legal requirements for CE marking and may be sold throughout the EEA. This also applies to products made in other countries that are sold in the EEA. There are two advantages CE marking brings to businesses and consumers within the EEA:

• Companies know that products with CE marking can be traded in the EEA without restrictions.

• Consumers enjoy the same level of health, safety and environment throughout the EEA. Find more information about CE here…

In Europe, the EMC is governed mainly by the EU Commission and EMC Directive (89 / 336 / EEC, revised later in 2004 / 108 / EC). However, there are many types of equipment excluded from the EMC Directive, although EMC requirements for most of them are included in other directives and regulations. Read more about EMC  here…
